This is one of the songs my friends and I were singing on the way to Disneyland at 2 in the morning a few days ago.
Two of my friends used this song during their wedding. This song reminds me more of my Nanay. Opening words make me tear.
I sang this sang at karaoke with a good friend of mine. We were not as good as these two were.
As a kid, i don’t think i had a bigger obsession than I did with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. From cartoons, to comics, to toys and movies, i was all about this. This video is such a bad assed tribute.
Based off last week’s ep of Parks and Rec, the funniest show on TV right now, and a close tie with It’s Always Sunny for my favorite shows on TV this year.
OMG.

I love this video. It makes me feel extra nerdy when I understand exactly what he’s talking about. I remember when the Death of Superman Comic came out, I was in the Bay Area with my family, and my Uncle and I went to a Comic Book store near my Aunt’s house. The first thing I asked was if they had any copies left, and sure enough, they had just one. But that one was now on sale for $75, and to buy it for $75, we had to spend $100 first, so in reality, it was going to be about $175 for this damn comic. My uncle bought some comics, i bought some better ones, and in the end, they sold us the Death of Superman comic. And then…just like that, my uncle took it home, and i’ve never seen it since. That was freaking 20 years ago. Sometimes when I see that guy, i ask about the comic. He tries not to go into too much detail about how it’s still sealed in the original black plastic bag and how it hasn’t seen the light of day in 2 decades. Maybe, if I get to outlive him, he would commission that to me in his will. Maybe.
